KITCHEN, BATHROOM, BEDROOMS, SUNROOM, & DECK
The homeowner originally envisioned transforming a small windowless office space into a third bedroom. It was soon very clear that a more dramatic transformation was necessary. The home needed a new layout and flow.
Today, the Killarney Residence is anything but awkward, with one side of the home designated for family living and the other for bedrooms.
CHALLENGE: Create a home that made sense for daily life. Including reenvisioning spaces to create a modern, but comfortable home.
ROLE: Design, Construction
The team led by Ashley Rader transformed the odd office into the master bathroom and closet. They also updated both bathrooms with luxury finishes and fixtures.
Their oversized second living area became the third bedroom, with an adjacent sunroom. The leaky, poorly designed, flat-roofed sunroom now has a lovely gabled roof that leads out to the brand-new outdoor living area.
The Kitchen is now an open, highly functional area perfect for meal prep and entertaining guests. Who doesn’t love a good corner sink with a view?
